Ocean Floor Geophysics delivers data for a new Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) geophysical survey in Brazilian waters. The project is being executed with OceanPact Geo, OceanPact's business unit focused on marine survey. OFG’s deep water survey AUV “Chercheur” is equipped with a full sensor suite for geohazard site and route surveys including a Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) system that produces 5cm x 5cm constant resolution imagery over the entire swathe width of the system, offering the ability to interpret features and geology not possible with traditional sidescan sonars.
